Canada - National Soccer is one of Canada's oldest sports and since 1912 the sport has been governed by a national association made up of representatives from the provinces. In the early years not all of the provinces were members. In the larger provinces the governing bodies evolved just before or soon after 1900, while in the Maritime provinces it was much later. The governing body in Newfoundland was founded soon after the province joined confederation. Dominion of Canada Football Association
